My wish is to be called by my true name. To have my being pierced by it. I want the sound of it to resonate across the room, tracing the contour of my self. For the girl, it is the boy who is the abandoned part of her. We have cut the world in two, between the moon and the earth. Pitch black places, then riddled with silvery light of the creamy moon. The name hints at a rupture, but its first two syllables conjure Orpheus, a poet who could charm even stones.
